Evelīna Kalniņa is a musician from Riga, Latvia, inspired by storytelling and the way it can come to life through different sounds and instruments.

Evelīna began her musical journey at a young age, joining a choir and studying piano, earning internationally recognized awards in competitions across Europe.

In her teenage years, she began studying musical theatre, where her passion for storytelling grew through the blend of singing, acting, and dancing. Not long after, Evelīna joined the progressive rock band “Mother” and the synth-pop/indie group “Idioti.Trupa.”, releasing debut albums with both while performing at music festivals and venues across Latvia.

After graduating, she moved to Graz, Austria, to study at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz Jazz Institute with Professor Dena DeRose. There, she had the opportunity to sing with large ensembles such as the “Sigi Feigl Big Band”, “KUG Stage Band”, “KUG Jazz Orchestra”, “Tres Alegrias Orchestra”, and “Planet Yoni”, while also exploring more intimate formats with duo projects like “Yak Yak Yak Yak Yak” and “DIVI”.

While Evelīna loves performing and connecting with audiences, she has also started offering private lessons and workshops to help others develop their skills.

With over 15 years of stage experience, Evelīna continues to evolve as an artist, diving into the worlds of piano, singing, songwriting, and jazz.
